If you can connect your piano or keyboard to your computer via a USB lead then in most cases this will only be a MIDI connection. I've tried checking with MIDI-OX and it just tells me there is no midi-input, regardless of what I try. This *doesn't* occur if I have the piano turned on and connected when I plug the USB in, however in that instance I still don't get a driver installed and the keyboard is still not recognized as an input. Trying to connect my Casio Privia PX-150 keyboard to my computer, but when I do I get "USB device not recognized: the last usb device you connected has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it". Recently bought a 10 ft MIDI-USB cable (heard that the length may sometimes be an issue so thought I'd lead with that)
